The Benefits of Cryolipolysis
It’s no secret that when it comes to getting rid of excess fat in the body, going under the knife has become somewhat of a popular trend. The fact is it’s already rapidly becoming a billion dollar industry.
However, not everyone is sold on the idea of going under the knife just to get rid of excess fat; but the good news for them is that there’s a far safer and quite intriguing alternative. The alternative we are talking about is cryolipolysis. It can rightfully be called as the perfect alternative to traditional surgery because it is non-invasive, which also means that it is safer and more convenient to go through. And since the procedure is classified as non-invasive, it only means it doesn’t cause any pain to the patient.
The first machine built for cryolipolysis was given approval by the FDA for the use in fat layer reduction in September 2010. The procedure is already patented and uses cooling technology to freeze the subcutaneous fat cells in the body, turning them into crystals. It later was observed by dermatologists that the fat cells subjected or exposed to cold eventually were destroyed. This happens when they are crystallized because the body naturally gets rid of them via the lymphatic system. Simply put, the fat cells will be subjected to natural death.
It may be true that cryolipolysis will take a couple of months for results to be visible, but the most important thing of all is that the entire procedure is safe. In fact, cryolipolysis is merely designed to kick start the fat elimination process, while the body does the rest. To put it in simpler terms, the process couldn’t get more natural than this.
Moreover, cryolipolysis is beneficial to the patient because it does not harm or cause any damage to the skin cells or tissues. The fact is there never is any need for the use of needles or anesthesia. The procedure is so calm and comfortable that patients can simply sit, read a book, or even listen to music.
Based on ultrasound results, patients who were subjected to this treatment experienced fat reduction by about 20%. It can’t be denied that surgery is better in terms of providing immediate results, but one thing you need to understand about cryolipolysis is that once you subject yourself to the procedure, you can follow it up after just a few months for a more substantial result. But it is worthy of mention that some patients can attest that they are fully satisfied with the full results of the first treatment, which means some don’t really need a second treatment.
But as someone who is intrigued at the idea of undergoing cryolipolysis, you do have to understand that for results to last, you still have to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
